Hi, my name is Halimmah .I am11 years old. I leave in a refugee camp with my dad in the Syrian Arab Republic. Yeah, I know what you are thinking “OOOH!! A REFUGEE!” Believe me, I get that A LOT! I would prefer to think of myself as a mislead child.
Believe it or not, I did not leave here all my life. I used to live in a beautiful home with my parents and younger sister. Even though it was a really long time ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday. It was a small house, but it felt like home. The day my family and I moved in was the happiest day of our lives! Dad told us to be thankful and enjoy what we had now because it could all go away. I did not understand him at first, but soon I began to. I shared a room with my sister. I loved the color of the walls- Pastel Pink. Mom helped us pick it out while dad painted it. Our kitchen was small but functional. Mom would always be in there cooking or cleaning up while dad would be in a corner watching the portable television.
Then came the day, the day that changed everything. I came home and saw that the house was in a mess.
