Location : College Library
Current mood: VERY annoyed
Why: The college somehow managed to block Facebook and every time you attempt to visit the site, it leads you to Google.
How many times I've visited Google unwillingly: 98547689457845967 times
Feels like : Punching the Librarian
Oh, btw, am off to Singapore tomorrow. Kinda excited.I mean with the shopping and all *shouts* COTTON ON
I need to get more pants. People at college are starting to realize that I only have 3 pairs of shorts. Like they give me the stare of
"You're wearing that? AGAIN? "
so yeah. note to self :GET MORE SHORTS
(wah shit the guy next to me is doing like algebra questions on the computer. And his an IT student)I feel so underachieved. *takes a screwdriver and shoves it in the guys ears*
btw, anyone know where i can get these (look down) kind of shoes in Singapore?

I watched my 1st ever Indie Show.
the 1st thing that came to mind when i watched this film was
"Shit, Andrea would love this movie"
I think it's Indie la. It looks Indie enough. The colors are indie. The music is indie-ish and Joanna says it's indie. and and and it was part of the Sundance Film Festival Thing. So yeah. It's Indie!
Genius behind it : Marc Webb
Genre : Comedy, Romance, (Is Indie a genre?)
The Story: It's about this guy who believes in true love who is totally into this weirdly one-of-a-kind-girl (she shouts 'Penis' in the park). One day out of a blue she just dumps him. (and she gets engaged to someone else, that B*tch) So this guy is left dumb-founded and he decides to reflect back to the days they were together t to see what went wrong.
Why watch it? It was nominated for 2 Golden Globes. So it's good la. And make sure you buy the Dvd with proper subtitles.
One of the most memorable quotes in the movie:
McKenzie: [drunk] So do you have a boyfriend?
McKenzie: Why not?
Summer: Because I don't want one
McKenzie: Come on; I don't believe that.
Summer: You don't believe that a woman could enjoy being free and independent??
McKenzie: [still drunk] Are you a lesbian?
Summer: [laughing] N0 I'm not a lesbian. I just, don't feel comfortable being being anyone's girlfriend. I don't actually feel comfortable being anyone's anything.
McKenzie: I don't know what you're talking about.
Summer: Ok, let me break it down for you -
McKenzie: [interrupts] Break it down!
Summer: Ok. I, like being on my own. I think relationships are messy and people's feelings get hurt. Who needs it? We're young, we live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world; we might as well have fun while we can and, save the serious stuff for later.
McKenzie: You're a dude. [to Tom] SHE'S A DUDE!
see the movie la. It's good stuff.

I will not lie...
.....I drive and text....
*looks from side to side*
okay, I drive and text ALOT.
Okay FINE!, I drive and text all the time.
We , youths have grown to be geniuses in multitasking.
In a recent survey by Oprah.com, 77 % of respondents said they've texted or sent mobile e-mail while driving; 41% while skiing, horseback riding, or biking; 11 % during a romantic interlude; and 16 percent while at a funeral.
(okay, can someone tell me how you ski and text??)
46% of drivers ages16 to 17 admit to texting while driving.
(I seriously think that the other 53% of them are lying, and the 1% has some disabilty with their fingers)
Driving while text messaging is dangerous - even more hazardous than talking on a cell phone. According to a recent study by the Virginia Tech Transport Institute, people that text while driving are 23 times more likely to crash than non distracted drivers.
Whenever we text, our focus on the road is taken away for an average of 4.6 seconds. Think that's no big deal? (Stupid ah??) 4.6 seconds is all that is needed to travel the length of a football field at 55 mph.
4.6 seconds is all an engineer needed to cause the 2008 Chatsworth Train Collision that took away 25 lives.
13 of the 25 of them were married. 5 of them were barely 20.
4.6 seconds was all it needed to kill 14 year old Daniel Oates when his bicycle was struck by a pickup truck, whose driver was texting.
4.6 seconds is what killed Heather L.Hurd, 26 who was on the was home from the wedding planners.
( YES, SHE WAS FREGGIN GETTING MARRIED!!!)
I think it's time for us to rise up. Or, well, put our thumbs down.Oprah.com has came up with the NO PHONE ZONE pledge which is a pledge where we can choose between
- Not texting with our phone while driving
-Not texting and using a hands free to answer calls when driving
-No texting while driving and stopping the car at a save location to use the phone
This pledge was made able on January 2009, and so far, there has been 311, 556 pledges made.
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO PLEDGE!
just click here
and just so you know the point of taking the pledge is the fact that you'll actually fulfill it.
or in the context above, you are how you drive

Though I was a fickle minded child, my *i-want-to-work-as-when-i-grow-up* list remained unchanged right up till high school.
I have to say, dad and mom were glad that I could make my mind up about at least one thing.
So what is it that I wanted to become so badly? And hopefully I'd blow the judges away with my incredible talents and personality that they'd cancel Miss Universe for all the coming years because they wanted me to remain with the title until I died. Well of course after I died, they could reopen the competition once again.
When I was in Form 4 (agak agak la) miss JOANNA KHOO burst my bubble. She called me while on holiday in KL.
"Sabrina! You would not believe this! The Miss Malaysia contestants were at the same hotel as me.. and they are so tall! You cannot be miss Malaysia anymore la!"
"Maybe they were wearing heels?"
"NO! even without heels they'd be like a head taller than us"
I wanted to be
Why? Because.. urm... Who doesn't want to?
My aunt who worked for Cathay Pacific was my role model for donkey years. Everything she said, everywhere she went, i followed (when i could). Oh and by the way, she was Miss Ipoh too, so i guess that's where the whole Miss universe dream came from.
I actually still have this occupation in mind. My grandma has a thing for asking me every know and then if i still wanted to work with Malaysian Airlines.
"Yup, Daddy says i can work for them after I've completed my degree"
"Oh.. then I have some advice for you"
"What is it?"
"Don't join Malaysian Airlines, their uniform not nice one, Join Cathay Pacific, the colar is V shape one, can see your collar bone, very sexy"
"Oh.. okay, i'll see if they want to take me la"
"Oh, and don't join Singapore Airlines, their plates are very heavy!"
Most of the time, I'd leave the 3rd choice out. I was POSITIVE that I'd turn out to be either Miss Universe or a stewardess, or maybe even BOTH!
Now I'm 19 and I still ask myself what do I want to be. And compared to when I'm 7, I'm way more unsure now.
I guess I'll just go with the flow.
